Meet Buffy!

My name is Buffy. I did not see myself surviving my seventeen-year struggle with substance use disorder . My dreams had become shattered, and any hope for a future no longer existed. When my two children were removed from my care, I downward spiraled to the lowest point of my life. The guilt, shame, and confusion of wondering why I continued to choose drugs over them was a daily mental battle that left me without a desire to live. Recovery has rebirthed my hopes, dreams, and future. Recovery has given me freedom and liberation from the prison and darkness of the chains of addiction. Recovery has given me such a deep appreciation for life and given me purpose with passion to help others who are struggling. Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans not to harm you, but to give you a hope and a future." We do recover.
