Training Overview
The Courage Center is an approved training center for APSC
(Addiction Professionals of South Carolina). We offer the 46-hour training specific to the four domains, (Advocacy, Mentoring/Education, Recovery Support, and Ethical Responsibility) as well as the South Carolina Department of Mental Health Peer Support Specialist Medicaid training that is needed to become a state-certified Peer Support Specialist through APSC.
What's Included?
The 46-hour Recovery Peer Specialist Training equips individuals with essential skills to support others in recovery from substance use disorder. It covers recovery principles, peer support techniques, and ethical considerations.
Time Commitment?
Training will be from 9:00-4:00 PM each day with lunch on your own from 12:00-1:00 PM. Must attend all 46 hours to complete training.

Pricing Info?
- The entire training program is priced at $250. Must pay the training fee two weeks before training. A staff member will be in contact with you to collect training payment.
Requirements?
- At least 1 full year of recovery from Substance Use DisorderA High School Diploma or GED
