RECOVERY REFRAMED
Issues related to mental health and addiction are impacting our youth and families more each day. Both shame and stigma keep too many South Carolinians from seeking help.
How might a person begin their recovery journey? What might that recovery look like?
In collaboration with The Pierson Collective, The Courage Center created a documentary titled
“Recovery Reframed”
that tells a new story about the disease of addiction and how our state is stronger when recovery is available to everyone.
"Pain is pain and hope is hope. And if we share, the more we have in common, the faster we're going to get things done. And the only way to understand what we have in common is to say it, is to just open our mouth and say it. And we need to start talking about things that matter."
Tanee Thomas-Tedford
Let The Courage Center bring Recovery Reframed to your group, class, or other space for a screening and discussion about the important issues surrounding addiction and recovery in South Carolina.
