Medical school hasn’t always viewed substance misuse as a medical issue, leaving students not properly equipped to understand, treat, and support those in recovery. A report funded by Stanford proposes that medical schools should be increasing their education around addiction treatment. In an article from Stanford Medical School, the new proposal for investing in addiction training was explained.
